- In April the process began to change the identity of QueerSeek.com over to the new, more Fabulous domain BQueer.com. The transition to the new site was finally completed a few weeks ago.

If you have a link to QueerSeek.com on your site I would kindly request that you update that link to point to http://www.BQueer.com. New link graphics are available at http://www.bqueer.com/plinktous.html. **Note: if you have a remote search box, the background graphic will have already updated. The actual search code now should be changed, although the old code will continue to work for now.

After 8 years I felt QueerSeek needed a makeover and the new identity was also an opportunity to offer new and expanded features, as well as a more stable back-end. (I just Love Stable Back-Ends!)

Established in 2000 QueerSeek was, and as BQueer still is, one of the longest running GLBT directories and portals left on the web. Many of the sites, which started at, or before QueerSeek, have either shut down, sold out to porn sites, or haven’t been updated in years. Contrary to that trend, BQueer is Growing! On a daily basis over 400 visitors view over 1000 pages on our site!

- I am excited about our recent partnership with Rainbow Tourism, a Gay and Lesbian Travel Company whose motto is Go Gay, Stay Gay, Play Gay, and which is based in Australia. Under this partnership, their long-running directory, PinkPagesNet, will be merged into the BQueer database and traffic from PinkPagesNet.com diverted to BQueer.

This is a win-win partnership as it increases the exposure of BQueer in the Australia and New Zealand markets, while providing Rainbow Tourism with an established, state-of-the-art search portal to manage listings for both their clients and partners.

- Writers Wanted! In June I began publishing articles, in addition to web links, on the Bqueer site. If you fancy yourself as a writer and would like to gain some free exposure for your product, event, business or service, register for a free account and submit a GLBT interest article to any of our 451 categories. - Over the last 2 weeks over 500 dead and out-dated links were removed from our database. I encourage you to report redirecting, broken or useless links you encounter by clicking the “Report” link below each listing. Also, if you have a site listed and would like to suggest a new title, description or URL, please use the “Report Link” function, check “other” and put your suggested changes in the textbox. Be sure to include a valid email or I will delete the request. Please allow 1-2 weeks for review of the changes.

- Our newsletter will only be sent out 3-4 times/year, unless something truly amazing it going on around here! Watch for more news and feature announcements later this summer or early Fall.
