BQueer is what I see as the evolution of my original portal, QueerSeek.com, which launched 1999 as a small collection of links to gay sites I enjoyed visiting. Over the following 8 years QueerSeek grew to be one of the largest non-porn GLBT directories and portals on the internet.
Why the new identity? Well, I just felt it was time for 'renewal' and change. The web has changed tremendously over the years that QueerSeek has existed and I have tried to keep the site fresh, but despite new features and color and design changes it just really started to feel 'old' and 'tired' to me. BQueer is a fresh start and offers the chance to move in some exciting new directions and offer some new features.
This site is presented as a free community service by Rainbow Communications, the consulting company I founded in 1995, and which specializes in internet marketing and search engine optimization (SEO).
